How we work

The spec is the product.

Almost no Kerala food brand publishes its ingredients, its frying oil, its allergens or an honest shelf life. We decided that was the thing worth competing on.

Every product carries its full specification.

Pack size, shelf life, the ingredient list, the cooking oil, the allergen statement, storage, the vegetarian mark, and the manufacturer with their licence number. Where something is not confirmed in writing, the page says so instead of guessing.

We name the claims we refuse to make.

Not “homemade”, because a licensed kitchen is not a home. Not “organic”, because that needs certification we do not hold. Not “no preservatives” where vinegar is doing the preserving. What is left is true.

You always know who made it.

Our own kitchens are labelled as ours. The brands we distribute are labelled as theirs, with their manufacturer and licence number on the page. We never sell another maker's work as our own.

Export & private label

We tell you what we cannot ship first.

An importer's first question is not what we make. It is whether we can lawfully deliver it. So our export page opens with the categories we will not quote — and why — before it lists the ones we will.

Distribution

We also move other people's food.

Routzell runs van-based B2B distribution to neighbourhood kiranas across Kerala, with our own ordering app for shopkeepers. It is how our food reaches a shelf, and how other makers reach one too.
